Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test mechanical and electromechanical components and structures
- Create, run, and post-process basic stress and thermal analysis simulations
- Create and release 2D mechanical design drawings
- Perform analysis using first principles techniques to validate mechanical and thermal aspects of the design
- Make design considerations for mass optimization, structural integrity, thermal considerations, and risk mitigation
- Manage and track CGs and weights for components installed on an aircraft
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of testing experience
- Familiarity with Matlab or Python for data regression
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Siemens NX (preferred), SolidWorks, etc.
Compensation
- $148,000 - $186,000 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
