About the role
- Nordson Product Assembly, a global leader in Product Assembly, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team.

- The Senior Material Planner is responsible for ensuring material availability while optimizing inventory performance across assigned product lines.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Engineering, Customer Service, and suppliers to resolve material constraints and support operational objectives.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of planning master data (e.g., material master, planning parameters, lead times, sourcing data, and purchasing information records) to ensure effective MRP execution.
- Monitor key planning and inventory KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Support new product introductions, engineering changes ECRs, and supply chain improvement initiatives.
- Support NBS Next and serve as material planning subject matter expert, mentor planners, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Plan and manage material supply by creating and maintaining purchase orders, production orders, and planning master data to meet customer requirements and OTD target.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, inventory management, or supply chain.
- Strong SAP MRP experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
- In lieu of degree, consideration for additional 8 years of related experience may be accepted as a trade-off.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP preferred.
Skills
- Strong SAP and MRP knowledge.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Manufacturing knowledge processes such as Kanban.
- Understanding of inventory optimization principles
- Time management skills to prioritize and multi-task.
- Customer-service orientation. Strives to proactively address customer concerns and needs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented.
