The code consultant role provides professional consultation with clients on building, fire, plumbing, energy, and accessibility codes to support the client's needs on construction and building engineering projects.
Collaborate with project teams to design solutions to challenges in building design and construction where strict code compliance is not possible (Compliance Alternatives).
Prepare design solutions such as fire modeling, egress modeling, and structural fire-resistance analyses.

Must be able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must always respect clients and co-workers, ability to present clearly and articulately to a wide range of audiences.
Must have high level of analytical skills.
Work requires continual attention to detail with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications and computer-assisted engineering and design software.
