About the role
- This position serves as the Human Resources leader for Terra Energy, responsible for managing HR operations across the United States.
Responsibilities
- HR Operations & Administration Lead and scale the HR organization and function to support the hiring and growth needs of the business.
- Manage and oversee payroll processes across multiple states, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare, review, and maintain employment agreements, policy acknowledgments, terminations, and other employment-related documentation.
- Maintain HR systems and employee data while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Recruitment & Onboarding Lead the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, offer management, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Coordinate and support recruitment efforts across the organization to ensure timely and successful hiring outcomes.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive employee experience from day one.
- Coordinate and deliver employee orientation programs, training resources, and onboarding activities to support engagement and productivity.
- Maintain recruitment and onboarding records, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Experience managing HR operations across multiple states within the United States.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting organizational growth, change management, and workforce planning initiatives.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting multi-state operations, particularly in Florida, Texas, and California.
- Prior experience in the renewable energy, solar, construction, manufacturing, home services, or field operations industries.
- Strong background in organizational development, workforce planning, succession planning, and change management.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- Experience leading HR compliance efforts across multiple states and supporting audits, policy development, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Master's degree preferred.
