This role is an opportunity for a hands-on analytics leader to operate as a strong individual contributor while leading a small team across high-impact initiatives in eBay's shipping ecosystem.

Drive the growth and optimization of eBay's managed shipping and label platform by defining success metrics, measuring impact, and identifying opportunities to scale globally.
Build predictive models and carrier rate simulations that improve shipping cost, delivery speed, reliability, and sustainability across carrier networks.
Design, execute, and evaluate experiments to inform decisions on product features, pricing, and policy, while partnering cross-functionally to turn insights into measurable outcomes.
Develop scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and AI-powered monitoring solutions that enable faster decisions, improve operational visibility, and detect performance issues in real time.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field
advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative role, with a track record of independently leading high-impact initiatives end to end.
Strong technical skills in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools, with working knowledge of Python or R.
Experience in product analytics, experimentation, A/B testing, and causal inference, with the ability to translate analysis into business action.
familiarity with modern AI tools and LLMs is preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, Finance, and business teams in a fast-paced environment
experience in logistics, shipping operations, or carrier performance analytics is a plus.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
$149,200 - $199,200
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
