About the role
- You'll work across backend systems from real-time services to data pipeline.
- You'll ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across the stack.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend and infrastructure systems
- Develop and maintain services that support real-time and batch data processing
- Collaborate with data and ML teams to support data ingestion, processing, and production use cases
- Optimize systems for scalability, cost, and efficiency in cloud environments
- Build internal tools and abstractions that improve developer velocity and system consistency
- Contribute to secure and compliant infrastructure design
- Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
- You'll be responsible for building the systems that enable:
- Your work will directly impact how the company builds, ships, and scales.
- Build and scale the foundational data infrastructure powering a category-defining product
Requirements
- 3-7+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering
- Familiarity with real-time or batch data processing systems (e.g., Kafka, Spark, or similar technologies)
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and reliability principles
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and distributed storage systems
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment with high ownership
Nice to have
- Experience with data infrastructure or data platforms
- Familiarity with stream processing or messaging systems
- Exposure to ML infrastructure or data-driven product features
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, etc.)
- Background in security or high-sensitivity data environments

Compensation
- Competitive salary + equity
- The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $160K - $225K / year.
- Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives.
- Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individual's relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors.
