About the role
- The person who steps into this role will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the executive team by handling a variety of administrative tasks and acting as a key point of contact.
- This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Additionally, the Executive Assistant (Government Relations) is expected to take on more complex tasks and responsibilities, including event planning and project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the operational lead for the Washington, DC office, ensuring a professional and responsive environment.
- Manage and maintain executives' calendars, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and events.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, meeting briefs, and other documents.
- Maintain and organize files, records, and documentation.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth office operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by executives.
- The Executive Assistant (Government Relations) will provide high-level administrative support to senior executives by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.

Requirements
- Experience with travel management software such as Concur or Egencia.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and think critically while retaining accuracy.
- ability to move tasks along and follow up is critical.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work full-time, in-person from our Washington, DC office.

Nice to have
- Familiarity with the unique operating environment of Washington, DC, including congressional offices, executive branch agencies, trade associations, political events, and industry organizations.
- Knowledge of congressional and executive branch protocols, political event etiquette, and the fast-paced nature of government affairs.
- Familiarity with corporate PAC operations and political fundraising processes
- experience supporting compliance-driven activities is a plus.
- Certification: Administrative Assistant Certification, Certified Administrative Professional, or related certification.
- Basic understanding of financial and budgeting processes to assist with expense reports and budget tracking.
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project.

- Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
