  • Role Summary: The Director of Finance is responsible for leading both strategic finance and accounting operations.
  • This position is remote to candidates based in AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, IL, MI, NC, NV, OR, SD, TN, TX, UT and/or WA.

Responsibilities

  • This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while driving budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • The Director of Finance partners closely with executive leadership to improve financial performance, scale operations, and support growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Candidates must also have the ability to:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

Nice to have

  • QuickBooks Online, QBAO
  • Sage Intacct or similar platforms
  • Power BI or Tableau
  • ADP, Paychex, or Intuit payroll systems
  • Advanced accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
  • Financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
  • Revenue recognition, internal controls, and audit processes
  • Purposes, methods, and practices of financial and accounting record keeping

Skills

  • Financial systems and tools (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, BI/reporting platforms)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills
  • Proper and effective use of English grammar and communication skills

Compensation

  • Vacation accrual of up to four (4) weeks per year, plus 11 paid company holidays and a winter break from Christmas Day through New Year's Day.

  • A typical method of demonstrating these requirements would be:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred; MBA preferred
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, including both controllership and FP&A responsibilities.
  • Experience in professional services, multi-entity, or high-growth environments preferred.
