About the role

Job Description: The Mammography Technologist and Breast Sonographer is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams, breast ultrasounds, and biopsies and procedures on patients using specialized equipment.
This position works closely with radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results.

Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
Maintains American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions
Performs radiologic breast imaging exams per department protocol including Breast Ultrasound and advanced Mammography procedures like stereotactic biopsies, Ultrasound core biopsies, clip placements, drainages, etc.
Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.

Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Mammography and breast Ultrasound
Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, record patient information, procedures performed and any adverse reactions.

ARRT Breast Ultrasound or ARDMS Sonography
Three years of experience working in Mammography and breast Ultrasound
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
