- The Senior Preproduction Engineer will also guide and mentor direct reports, ensuring their success and development.
Responsibilities
- Assists with coordinating design activities with consultants, subcontractor partners, and clients.
- Leads the front-end of projects, achieving goals and managing multiple priorities.
- Participates in conceptual design, collaborating with internal and external teams to facilitate project design, documentation, and compliance with project requirements.
- Reviews and maintains engineering and manufacturing drawings and models to ensure alignment with production and project requirements.
- Proactively resolves design issues and BIM conflicts.
- Identifies building methods and breaks down manufacturing drawings for production.
- Optimizes designs for manufacturability and installation efficiency.
- Supports the development and implementation of company processes and standards.
- Supports FTI leadership with project coordination and execution.
- Adjusts builds to streamline installation and creation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Performs other related duties as required.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of electrical or systems experience or Entry level CAD/Revit or Accubid experience and 5 or more years of Manufacturing and/or Construction experience preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of electrical or systems experience or Entry level CAD/Revit or Accubid experience and 5 or more years of Manufacturing and/or Construction experience preferred.
