Responsibilities
- Performs basic laboratory point of care testing for arterial blood gas analysis, blood coagulation test, serum glucose test, serum electrolytes test, and serum hemoglobin test.
- Maintains and provides preventative maintenance on anesthesia equipment.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year
- Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to triage tasks in high stress situations.
- Knowledge of the patient's rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA.
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
