About the role

  • Laurel's Business Technology team is dedicated to providing reliable, secure, and easy-to-use technology for our employees.
  • This role is crucial for managing our internal IT environment - operating at the intersection of platform, AI, and internal systems.
  • You are the technical anchor for how the company connects systems, automates internal workflows, and embeds intelligent capabilities into the company's infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and technical strategy for internal automation systems - defining how the company's tech stack (HRIS, Okta, Salesforce, and others) connects, scales, and stays maintainable
  • Architect and manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - including compute, networking, storage, and security
  • Design and automate onboarding/offboarding workflows, including provisioning and deprovisioning access
  • Own the architecture and lifecycle of internal AI tooling (e.g. Vercel, Supabase, Claude, ChatGPT- from evaluation through deployment, access governance, and deprecation
  • Demonstrated experience building or operating AI-powered systems - including evaluating LLM tooling, managing AI infrastructure, and thinking critically about reliability, cost, and governance tradeoffs
  • Clear judgment, architectural thinking, and the ability to drive complex systems

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing corporate IT infrastructure in a modern, cloud-first environment
  • Strong experience with Workato or similar IPaaS solution, MacOS, and managing Okta or similar IDP platforms
  • Proven experience managing SaaS ecosystems and identity lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding)
  • Experience working in high-growth or startup environments
