About the role
- As Cyngn scales its production deployments of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), we are seeking a highly capable Field Services Engineer to join our growing team.
- This role is essential to the success of our customer deployment production operations and requires both technical skill and field service acumen.
- This position bridges hands-on hardware interaction, field maintenance, software updates, and close collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field-based diagnostics, perform root cause analysis, and execute corrective actions to maintain uptime.
- Collaborate with Engineering Services and Engineering teams to deploy software updates, log issues, and provide feedback from the field.
- Maintain logs of service activity, diagnostics data, and configuration changes in a structured and reliable format.
- Support initial site bring-up and commissioning efforts for new deployments.
- Support weekend and after-hours troubleshooting on an on-call rotation basis.

Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in industrial or warehouse environments.
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly, hear, and respond effectively in noisy environments.
- 2+ years in a technical field service, robotics, or hardware support role.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly (30-50% anticipated).
- Proficiency with Linux terminal, remote troubleshooting, and basic shell scripting.
- Strong hands-on skills with mechanical/electrical components and system-level debugging.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Capable of interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or remote monitoring dashboards.

- $90k-$108k
