- GENERAL DESCRIPTION Copart is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vehicle Mechanical Inspector & Light Repair Technician to join our team.
- In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mechanical inspections of vehicles, identifying issues to ensure their roadworthiness.
Requirements
- Your expertise will contribute to the accurate representation of vehicles in our auctions and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Travel required to DFW for training
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have a valid drivers' license.
- Proven experience in automotive mechanical inspection, diagnostics, and light repair work, preferably in a dealership, automotive repair shop, or similar setting.
- ASE Certifications A1,A4,A5 are a plus
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools, and computerized systems for vehicle inspection and repair tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to learn and apply new skills and techniques as needed.
