About the role

  • As the Dispatch Supervisor you will be responsible for the dispatching of trucks to convey freight to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Track deliveries via computer systems and monitors communication lines to assist with complex or immediate questions.
  • Determine and review driver assignments, delivery time, and other transportation data to evaluate driver performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support, scheduling, and direction for drivers around account specific issues
  • Support the Operations Manager in achieving all site, dispatch, and office needs.
  • Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that support fleet vehicle availability requirements.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all team members

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older (mandatory company policy)
  • Two (2) + years experience in transportation industry
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and legal requirements for drivers
  • Ability to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts.
  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds - working with barrels and industrial/agricultural/industrial/ag
  • Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Compensation

  • In the absence of an executed recruitment Master Service Agreement, there will be no obligation to any referral compensation or recruiter fee.

Company info

  • Ensure drivers are educated and compliant with all DOT, state, local, and company regulations.
  • Set up, monitor and troubleshoot customer equipment, primarily tank monitors for all applicable customers within Lubricants footprint
  • Work with customers on equipment and supply related issues on a day-to-day basis
  • Assist with will-call customers
  • Communicates effectively with call center, sales, customers, drivers and other locations
