About the role

  • InterAgency, Inc. is a small, growing environmental consultancy with a national profile.
  • We provide planning, environmental consulting, and regulatory coordination for large-scale infrastructure and resiliency programs in the DC metro area.
  • Description: InterAgency, Inc. is seeking a mid-career/senior architect who is looking to transition their career away from buildings and into resiliency projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all phases of water pipe design and implementation, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Review design drawings for accuracy and implementation.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expedite a project's implementation.
  • Manage the permitting process with DC DOB, DOEE, and DDOT.
  • Maintain project files.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in an architectural office.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, details, and methods.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.

  • Employment Conditions:
  • Full-time, exempt employment.
  • Work conditions & location: Hybrid - Will work on-site at client location three (3) or more days per week.
  • Hours: regular business hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 PM (EST).
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures
  • transcribing, viewing a computer terminal

Compensation

  • $125,000-$145,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Paid Time Off: up to 20 days per year, prorated during the first year of employment.
