Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble major drive/power train components, such as engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, axles, steering, etc.
All candidates should be prepared to work weekends and shift work to support a 24/7 service.

Must have and maintain a valid Ontario Truck and Coach Technicians Licence (310T).
Must be capable of and willing to retain technical competency on Transit Fleet vehicles and equipment.
Must have a valid Class "G" Ontario Driver's Licence with the ability to obtain and maintain a Class "C" with "Z" endorsement Driver's Licence.
Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.
Must be physically capable of using heavy tools and equipment, working outdoors, working evening, night and weekend shifts.
Must supply and maintain an adequate set of personal hand tools required for the job.
Must participate and complete all required mandatory training within the job class.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES A VALID CLASS "G" DRIVER'S LICENCE AND PROOF THEREOF IS REQUIRED AFTER HIRE.
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Transit vehicles and equipment using OEM software that would include but not limited to
Capable, knowledgeable, and current in all aspects (practices safe work using OHSA, measuring, shop tools/equipment, major components, etc.) of 310T Qualifications
Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain natural gas endorsement (ICE-NG Certification), refrigeration/air conditioning endorsement and any other endorsements as required by the employer and the Province of Ontario in the future.
SALARY: Hourly
Salary Grade 16T
$40.71 - $45.23 per hour plus applicable premiums (see below)

Time and a quarter on Sunday (1.25 x rate of pay)
Annual tool allowance: $1300.00
Annual boot and clothing allowance: $400.00
