About the role
- As a Wind Turbine Technician I, you will gain hands-on experience working at heights and alongside experienced technicians to keep wind turbines operating safely and efficiently.
- Working Conditions: - Ability to climb stairs and ladders 80 meters in height. - Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs. in weight. - Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write English.
Responsibilities
- Support the safe operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wind turbines to maximize uptime and energy production.
- Perform basic troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, schematics, and SCADA systems to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders using systems such as Maximo, while ensuring timely and quality execution of tasks.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels.

Requirements
- Minimal to 1 year of relevant work experience and may have limited capabilities/qualifications related to wind turbines:
- Ability to hear and use close range radios.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of basic industrial safety practices (including LOTO).
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure or hazardous situations.
- Valid Driver's License with ability to travel (passport eligible) and willingness to complete all required technical and safety training.
- Final candidates for this position may be required to undergo a security screening, including a criminal records check.

Compensation
- Ranges from $24.50 - $26.00 hourly/USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
- Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
