About the role
- The role focuses on safe, efficient drilling operations, highquality sample recovery, equipment care, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in often remote work environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-start inspections of drill rigs, compressors, boosters, rods, hammers, and support equipment
- Perform routine servicing, lubrication, and basic mechanical troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Accurately collar holes and maintain correct drilling angles, depths, and alignment per drilling plans
- Monitor and adjust drilling parameters such as air pressure, rotation speed, bit wear, and penetration rate to optimize productivity and sample quality
- Maintain accurate drill logs, meters drilled, consumables usage, and daily production reports
- Maintain site housekeeping standards around the drill pad and equipment
- The Reverse Circulation (RC) Driller operates RC drilling rigs to support mineral exploration and mining programs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an RC Driller in mining or exploration
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of RC drilling techniques
- Commitment to safety and ability to work extended shifts in remote environments
- Physically fit and capable of working in varying weather conditions
