About the role
- This role involves diagnosing and repairing issues related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances.
- This position also involves supervising outside contractors, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance tasks and diagnose/repair issues in various areas.
- Maintain pool, hot tub, and other amenities.
- Maintain exterior property for curb appeal.
- Schedule and document preventative maintenance and apartment turns.
- Maintain inventory and assist in purchasing materials and supplies.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal license is required.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
Nice to have
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license strongly preferred.
- Associates hired without a CPO license will be required to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Experience in supervising contractors preferred but not required.
Skills
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- General computer skills including operating a mobile device
- Ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays
Compensation
- Pay range is a calculation based on a midpoint price.
- Fairfield complies with all wage and hour laws, including minimum wage and salary exempt requirements.
