About the role

  • As a Mental Health Technician, you will assist in creating a safe, supportive environment for patients, ensuring that they receive the care they need while engaging in therapeutic activities.
  • You will be instrumental in promoting wellness and safety, helping to de-escalate difficult situations, and providing guidance as a role model for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Therapeutic Activities: Help facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities designed to promote mental and emotional well-being.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver's license.
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.

  • We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technicians to join our team and support patients of behavioral health treatment in an inpatient setting.
  • Under close supervision, this position will play an integral role in providing direct and indirect care to individuals in need of behavioral health support.
  • Assist in the care of patients in a behavioral health setting, both individually and in groups.
  • Extra $.75/hour for working weekends and holiday
  • Mental Health Technicians also receive an extra $1 per hour
  • Level II: I year of behavioral health patient care experience required

  • The GMH Annex is dedicated to helping each person achieve stability, restore competency, and successfully transition to the next stage of their recovery journey.
  • This 30-bed facility provides compassionate, recovery-focused care for individuals who are pretrial defendants found incompetent to stand trial, as well as those adjudicated Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) or Not Guilty by Reason of Mental Illness (NGRMI).
  • Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Preplacement Testing: Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.
  • Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.
  • THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK.
