About the role

  • Madhappy uses apparel, events, and experimental retail spaces - including its permanent flagship in West Hollywood - to explore a personal expression as a means to an improved state of mind.
  • The brand currently produces a selection of ever-evolving, evergreen classic styles, seasonally available collections and collaborations.
  • In this position, you will be responsible for creating graphics at a high level with consistency across brand values, project briefs, and collaborators.

Responsibilities

  • Create apparel and accessories graphics from conception through final vendor-ready art
  • Collaborate with Design to develop and execute seasonal deliverables
  • Interpret trend boards and design direction in order to develop graphics and textiles for all divisions
  • Partner with Designers to ensure a cohesive collection for each season
  • Create repeat patterns and prints
  • Create detailed techpacks with specs and techniques for each artwork
  • Maintain project libraries and organize graphics by season and concept

Requirements

  • You must be based in or willing to move to Los Angeles to be considered for this position.
  • 3+ years of relevant graphic design experience

Nice to have

  • Exceptional Illustrator & Photoshop Skills
  • Knowledge of the consumer.
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience working on a fast paced, small team is a plus
  • Proven concepting, research, and creative skills (preferably shown through a portfolio)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Extremely organized

Compensation

  • 15 days PTO, and 9 days sick pay annually
