About the role
- The ideal candidate has prior experience in financing or securities lending at a bank or buy-side firm, along with strong external relationships with counterparties.
- You'll also have the opportunity to execute real-time financing decisions and improve our long-term financing strategy.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with trading desks and infrastructure teams to optimize the financing and securities lending transactions across various products
- Maintaining and developing relationships with prime brokers and other external financing counterparties
- Being a reliable subject matter expert in the financing markets to support our trading desks' decisions
Nice to have
- Have 2-5 years of relevant financing experience at a buy-side firm or bank (some exposure to credit financing, ideally in corporate bonds, is preferred)
- Excited and able to cultivate relationships with prime brokers and other external financing counterparties
- Have strong analytical skills and experience with performing technical data analysis to solve problems (e.g., through previous work experience, STEM coursework)
- Intellectually curious and motivated to learn about new products, funding trade types, and strategies
- An effective communicator who works well in a team environment
- Fluency in Python, SQL, or other programming languages is a strong plus
