About the role
- The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department Sports Division is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care within the OR and specialty clinic setting.
- This position is located in Milwaukee and Menomonee Falls, WI.
- The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
Requirements
- Minimum Education:
- Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced Practice Nurse/ Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
- Wisconsin RN License
- Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- Certification Requirements:
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Nice to have
- Previous experience of 2+ years working as an APP or first assist experience is preferred, not required.
- Highly desired previous experience in acute care, surgical specialties or medicine teams such as hospitalist, internal medicine, perioperative, cardiology and emergency.

- Approximately 1,780 MCW physicians and approximately 905 advanced practice providers care for more than 484,000 patients of all ages annually at Froedtert Hospital, Zablocki VA Medical Center, Children's Wisconsin, and many other hospitals
