About the role
- The Nurse Manager is responsible for 24-hour management of the patient care area.
- Follows the DCH Code of Conduct at all times.
- Sets performance expectations for staff.
Responsibilities
- Supports service excellence across the organization.
- Supports and implements Performance Improvement activities with a continuous, systematic, and measurable approach in areas of responsibility.
Requirements
- PACU - AHA PALS required Prep & Discharge/Post-Surgical - Does not require ACLS.
- Rehab - Current AHA BLS required.
- Women's/Children - Current AHA BLS required.
- NICU - Current AHA Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and STABLE Program required.
- Labor & Delivery - Current AHA ACLS, AHA NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required.
- Mother Baby Unit - Current AHA NRP, and STABLE Program required.
- Pediatrics - Current AHA PALS required.
- Clinical Support - Current AHA BLS required.
- WORK CONTEXT Must be able to use computers, electronic mail, telephone and texting PHYSICAL FACTORS Medium work.
- Must be able to tolerate prolonged periods of standing and walking.
