About the role
- This role is ideal for someone passionate about education, eager to work directly with students, and interested in pursuing a future career in teaching or school leadership.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support campus-wide activities such as lunch, recess, arrival, and dismissal to ensure student safety
- Support lead teachers in delivering instruction by assisting with lesson activities, classroom management, and transitions
- Substitute for lead teachers when necessary to ensure continuity of instruction
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student academic and behavioral success
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- As a Paraprofessional at AMS, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping ensure all students have the tools and support needed to succeed academically and behaviorally.

Skills
- Assist in maintaining classroom structure, routines, and positive student behavior
- Prepare instructional materials, organize classroom resources, and assist with basic data tracking

Compensation
- Starting at $15.50 to $17 per hour, DOE

- Previous experience working with children in an educational or youth setting preferred
- Working alongside lead teachers, you will assist with instruction, classroom management, and student engagement while helping maintain a structured and positive learning environment.
