About the role

Oversee the planning and execution of ReUnion and Homecoming & Family weekends.
Position Title: Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular Full-time.
This position is not eligible for relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.

Develop and execute events that contribute to meaningful experiences and engagement for constituents, classes, affinity reunions and parents.
Recruit and manage volunteers in support of ReUnion Weekend and affinity reunion groups. Facilitate volunteer recognition activities such as the Alumni Gold Medals and volunteer appreciation event.
Work with the Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement to create briefing materials for the President and senior administrators as appropriate.
Lead post-event debriefing meetings to ensure important interactions with prospects and volunteers are captured and communicated.
Establish metrics and create year-end reports that include assessment and analysis of programs and events.
Participate in and support other events planned by the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement, including travel (approximately 20 to 25%).
Develop and demonstrate a multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse and respectful College community.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years' experience in development, alumni relations or related field.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to effectively work and interact respectfully within a diverse and inclusive environment are essential.
experience maintaining and reconciling office and events budgets
and the ability to work evenings and weekends with some (approximately 20%) travel required.
A working knowledge of various word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications is required.
Must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals.

Able to work independently, have excellent attention to detail and be self-motivated.
Understanding of higher education and the role of alumni, student and family engagement and development.
Understand fundraising principles and volunteer management, and be adept at starting annual class and affinity gift programs in partnership with the annual fund.
Able to plan, develop and implement activities, programs and special events is vital.
Previous experience working with and supervising volunteers

The annual salary range for this position is $62,826.00.
Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
