About the role

  • Stay informed of wider business developments and work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders across the logistics operation to ensure the successful alignment and delivery of operational and people-focused initiatives.
  • Contribute to the identification, development, and implementation of effective solutions to emerging challenges, supporting continuous improvement and business success.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members and facilitate bi-annual Individual Performance Reviews (IPRs), ensuring clear objectives, feedback, and development plans are in place.

  • Monitor and manage team performance, ensuring all colleagues consistently meet established productivity, quality, and service standards.
  • Drive engagement and motivation within the team to achieve individual KPIs, departmental targets, and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across all departments to maximise operational efficiency and support business success.
  • Collaborate closely with Department Managers and fellow Team Managers, providing regular updates on team and individual performance while identifying development and training opportunities.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support to team members, encouraging continuous improvement and professional growth.
