About the role
- This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting production continuity, and safeguarding sensitive materials in a regulated defense environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory items within ERP/inventory systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of components and materials.
- Support procurement and logistics teams in resolving receiving discrepancies or inventory-related issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inventory transactions and adjustments.
- Support system improvements within ERP/MRP platforms.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory management and control, preferably in a manufacturing or defense environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a commitment to accuracy, and experience operating within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Support audits by preparing required documentation and reconciling inventory records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
- Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional standing and walking within the office
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
- Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
- Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of defense industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., ITAR, DFARS) is a plus.
