About the role

  • Assistant Sales Consultants play a key role in delivering a memorable Guest experience.
  • Assistant Sales Consultants are expected to take initiative, demonstrate strong product knowledge, and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Reliable onsite attendance is an essential function of the job to ensure operational success and consistent service for our Guests.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and share knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, cigars, and other products to promote sales and support company goals.
  • Support the store's merchandising and operational standards by maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked shelves.
  • Maintain Responsible Vendor status throughout employment for alcohol & tobacco purchases while operating POS, wine taps, or tasting tables by checking proper forms of identification for age verification.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by store leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Stay current on required training, company policies, and product knowledge to ensure compliance and provide an informed, high-quality Guest experience.

Nice to have

  • No prior retail experience required, though previous customer-facing experience is a plus.
