About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the install and integration of new automated equipment into the manufacturing ecosystem at Blue.
  • Coordinate with and support of maintenance teams responding to emergent equipment issues.
  • Manage Automation shop including inventory, kitting and 5S.
  • We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.
  • This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
  • Our team is looking for outstanding, highly motivated, automation and controls professionals who love listening to our customers, working as a team, and proactively taking the lead whenever vital.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years' experience installing, troubleshooting or maintaining equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient with computers, the ability to use MS Office, shop floor management software (ERP) and related programs.
  • Experience with CMMS, Inventory management and shop organization.
  • Experience troubleshooting and modifying:
  • Ability to interpret and modify electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience assembling, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical control panels and circuits.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and with humility to stakeholders.
  • Completion of secondary education (High School Diploma or GED) required.
  • Automation control systems including Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs
  • Industrial robot programs (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA)
  • Industrial vision systems (ex. Keyence, Cognex)
  • Machine Safety systems software and hardware
  • Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience preferred in fast-paced production environment.

Compensation

  • Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
