Requirements
- 2+ years of professional Android development experience shipping consumer- facing apps
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in Kotlin, including Coroutines and Flow
- working knowledge of the modern Android stack (Jetpack Compose, Hilt/Dagger, Room, WorkManager, Navigation)
- Comfort consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and handling offline, low-bandwidth, and error states gracefully
- Experience writing unit and UI tests (JUnit, Compose UI tests, Espresso)
- Familiarity with Gradle, CI/CD, and the Google Play release process
- Experience with Spec Driven Development leveraging LLM coding agents and autonomous build and review loops

- Understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI) and how features are structured in a multi-module codebase
- Familiarity with the Android systems activity apps rely on - location, sensors, foreground services, lifecycle, audio focus, push - and willingness to go deep in the areas you own
- Strong debugging habits and an interest in growing them - profiling, memory analysis, ANR/crash triage
- Collaborative mindset
