About the role
- Birthplace of Country Music (BCM) participates in the Tennessee Youth Employment Program (TYEP) through the First Tennessee Development District to provide meaningful short-term employment experiences for eligible youth and young adults.
- TYEP Participants may be assigned to a variety of departments across BCM based on organizational needs, participant interests, skills, and learning goals.
Responsibilities
- Assignments may include support in areas such as museum operations, curatorial projects, administrative support, events, marketing, visitor services, archives, radio operations, facilities, or community programming.
- Providing visitor or guest support services
- Assisting with facilities, setup, or operational support tasks
Requirements
- Must be approved and referred through the Tennessee Youth Employment Program (TYEP)
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with staff and team members
- Ability to adapt to varying assignments and responsibilities
- Some evening or weekend hours may be required for events or programming

- Duties will vary depending on departmental assignment, but may include:

Compensation
- This position is funded through the Tennessee Youth Employment Program (TYEP) administered by the First Tennessee Development District.
- Participants are employed and paid through BCM in accordance with program guidelines and organizational payroll procedures.
