About the role
- In addition to driving hypergrowth with our current product line, Bevi is heavily investing in new product development.
- Our connected machines are inherently electromechanical, and the field and production issues we tackle increasingly span the electrical, firmware, and mechanical domains at once.
- Success in this role directly improves product quality, reliability, and the customer experience across Bevi's installed base.
Responsibilities
- Lead first-pass electrical, embedded, and firmware investigations of field and production issues across Bevi's connected hardware.
- Perform board- and system-level debug-instrumenting, measuring, and reproducing electromechanical failures such as inter-board communication faults, sensor and actuator behavior, and power or signal integrity issues.
- Drive robust root cause analysis and corrective action on electromechanical issues, taking projects from initial analysis through containment and change release.
- Partner with the EE and firmware teams to hand off well-defined problems and support implementation and verification of solutions.
- Represent the sustaining team in cross-functional design reviews, DFMEA, and PFMEA activities, contributing a credible technical voice in electrical and embedded systems discussions
- Create and release ECNs and update BOMs, drawings, and supporting documentation for electromechanical changes
- Develop and execute test methods to validate fixes and verify compliance
- Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis to drive quality improvements, cost reduction, and improved reliability
- Support component end-of-life and obsolescence engineering activities for electrical components, and provide feedback to the New Product Development team to improve next-gen designs
- Happy hours, team-building events, bagel breakfasts, Values awards - and more.
