About the role
- This refers to the physical, mental and emotional duties of the job.
- Reaching above and below, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
- The employee must occasionally lift / carry / move up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform responsibilities with excellence in service, integrity, inclusion and building relationships as exemplified in DAVIS Core Values
- Perform routine walk through inspections of construction areas on small- to medium-sized projects with little to no assistance from other department members; and large-sized projects with assistance
- Assemble and deliver project start up safety packages for new projects
- Prepare and present content for internal project team meetings and trade partner meetings

Requirements

- Safety precautions must be taken and resources will be provided.
- Provide all information and documentation required on weekly incident log
Skills
- Experience in occupational Environmental Health + Safety or a related field
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- OSHA 30 hour for contractors
- Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations*
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures*
- Decision making, research and analytical problem solving skills*
- Time management with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands, and to work independently*
- Possess strong communication skills, and interact effectively at all levels within the organization and external to DAVIS*
- Construction industry experience
Compensation
- T he base salary (or hourly) range for this position is
- $78,000.00 - $95,000.00 DAVIS is committed to providing our employees with a competitive total compensation package that enhances your quality of life.
