About the role

  • This role is responsible for performing laboratory testing, maintaining accurate results, supporting specimen processing, and ensuring compliance with all laboratory policies and procedures.
  • The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining a strong patient-centered focus.
  • This position plays a critical role in supporting both patient care and operational efficiency throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory patient testing and accurately report results in accordance with laboratory procedures and policies
  • Maintain compliance with all laboratory safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Run and document laboratory controls according to quality control procedures
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Maintain laboratory supply inventory and coordinate restocking as needed
  • Support a patient-centered environment by maintaining positive communication with patients, visitors, and staff
  • Maintain organization, accuracy, and accountability across all laboratory operations

Nice to have

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and compliance with laboratory standards
  • Associate degree in Laboratory Science required
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology preferred
  • ASCP Certification or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of hospital laboratory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements required
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining efficiency and accuracy
