About the role

  • We're looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team!
  • In this role you will be responsible for full-cycle payroll processing using ADP, including handling taxes, adjustments, garnishments, and deductions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • If you love numbers, solving problems, and take pride in keeping things running seamlessly behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain payroll data for new hires, terminations, status changes, and compensation adjustments.
  • Process employee timesheets and partner with managers to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Partner with HRIS to monitor and validate employee data integrations, ensuring consistency across systems.
  • Prepare and validate payroll reports (e.g., 330 report) and maintain documentation to support audits and compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with payroll team to identify workflow improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready payroll records in compliance with legal retention requirements.
  • Confirm and manage construction phase contractual responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key team members and serve as the primary point of contact for documentation and workflows

Requirements

  • Experience with payroll systems and electronic recordkeeping
  • Proactive, proven ability to work effectively independently, with excellent organizational skills and fierce attention to detail
  • Knowledge of A/E construction phase processes and contractual responsibilities
  • Proficiency in task organization, completion tracking, and prioritization
  • Complete required compliance activities, including E-Verify submissions for new hires and wage theft notices for compensation or classification changes.

Nice to have

  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
  • Experience with a consulting A/E firm in a payroll function.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
