Responsibilities
- Consists of Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) who deliver a great customer service experience by demonstrating compassion and empathy towards our residents, family members and team.
- RPNs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication.
Requirements
- Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft office applications
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
- RPNs implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plans and make changes as required.
- RPNs complete and ensure resident's clinical care assessments, care plans and documentation are accurate, up to date and communicate changes as required.
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province
- Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge
- Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset
- Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
- Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
- Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
