At Northwestern Medicine, every patient interaction makes a difference in cultivating a positive workplace.
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technician is responsible for her/his assigned procedures.
Background Check Northwestern Medicine conducts a background check that includes criminal history on newly hired team members and, at times, internal transfers.

Reviews daily assignment to maintain supply inventory on specialty carts.
Maintains and is responsible for counts of instruments, sponges, needles and miscellaneous items with the R.N.
Maintains aseptic technique throughout procedure.
Maintains readiness for emergencies and the need to assist the surgeon, if necessary, until additional help can be obtained.
