About the role

  • Code Quality: Participate in peer code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and follow best practices to ensure maintainable, high‑quality code.
  • Agile Participation: Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and estimation sessions as an active member of the development team.

  • Create and evolve relational and NoSQL data models that support new functionality and improve existing features.
  • Own individual features from specification through implementation, testing, deployment, and post‑release monitoring.
  • Produce clear design specs, API documentation, and other artifacts that aid knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Data Modeling & Persistence: Create and evolve relational and NoSQL data models that support new functionality and improve existing features.
  • Feature Delivery: Own individual features from specification through implementation, testing, deployment, and post‑release monitoring.
  • Technical Documentation: Produce clear design specs, API documentation, and other artifacts that aid knowledge sharing across the team.

Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • 5-8 years of experience in full‑stack development
  • Fluency in TypeScript with solid experience in Node.js and modern front‑end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL data modeling
  • Experience delivering features end‑to‑end, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with manufacturing, aerospace, or defense domains.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code‑quality tooling.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers or providing peer guidance.

Compensation

  • At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels E04 - E05 as evaluated through our interview process.
  • E04/ Engineer II - $122,430 - $168,340
  • E05 / Sr. Engineer: $141,380 - $194,390
  • $122,430 - $224,500 USD
