About the role

  • BluMetric is currently seeking a Project Manager, with a background in water and wastewater treatment operations project delivery, to join our Project Management Office (PMO).
  • To achieve these important goals, the Project Manager will work within BluMetric's project management framework initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing assigned projects.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong communication and time management skills, an ability to anticipate challenges and to address change, as well as experience working in remote indigenous communities.

Responsibilities

  • Support project proposal initiatives, collaborating with technical teams to deliver detailed proposals aligned with market objectives and northern project realities
  • Support development of Project Charters for approved projects, defining goals, objectives, risks (including seasonal and logistical risks), assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, work breakdown structure, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Support and lead contract management including development, review, and negotiation, particularly within multi-stakeholder frameworks (e.g., federal, territorial, Indigenous, and private partners).
  • Lead stakeholder management, including facilitating or leading client interactions across complex, multi-party environments (e.g., CIRNAC, PSPC, and BluMetric).
  • Manage project activities throughout the lifecycle, including allocation of resources, scheduling, documentation, and budget, with consideration for limited local resources and supply chain challenges.
  • Establish and deliver mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting to stakeholders via formal communication plans.
  • Manage project dependencies, including those tied to logistics, access, and regulatory processes.

Requirements

  • BluMetric designs, fabricates, and delivers sustainable solutions to complex water and environmental challenges.

Skills

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing water and/ or wastewater treatment operations projects.
  • Actively working towards or holding certification as a Project Manager Professional (PMP), or equivalent considered an asset.
  • Proven experience managing multiple sites or large-scale operations.
  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, P&L oversight).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Security clearance (or ability to achieve) an asset.
  • Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) compliance is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
