About the role

Blackbird Health is seeking a mission-driven, board-certified psychiatrist or collaborative physician to join our growing pediatric mental health team in Virginia.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of collaborative clinical experience and a passion for expanding access to high-quality mental health care for children, adolescents, and families.
You are a board-certified psychiatrist with a genuine commitment to pediatric and adolescent mental health

Support and assess clinical decision-making to ensure the highest standard of patient care
Collaborate with the clinical and leadership team to refine workflows and implement best practices
Own your own phone, computer, and high-speed internet connection

You bring 5+ years of collaborative clinical experience, and are comfortable working alongside nurse practitioners in a supervisory capacity
You have a deep understanding of child and adolescent psychiatric presentations and evidence-based treatment approaches

Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in a clinical setting
Familiarity with collaborative practice agreements and multi-state telehealth regulations
Background in or exposure to integrated or interdisciplinary care models
Comfort with EMR systems and async clinical communication tools
Board-certified psychiatrist licensed in Virginia (MD or DO)
5+ years of collaborative clinical experience (CRNP collaboration preferred)
Availability for approximately 2-5 hours per month for chart reviews and consultations
Ability to respond to urgent clinical consultations in a timely manner

$2,000 - $2,500 USD

This is a fully remote, flexible opportunity with a commitment of approximately 2-5 hours per month to support up to 4 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.
