About the role
- Otterbein Jackson, located in Jackson, MI, has an opening for a fulltime Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
- include overseeing departments related to the care and services to our Elders (residents), including but not limited to Activities, Hospice, Medical Records, Nursing, Social Services, Laundry, and Housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Selects, supervises, coaches, develops and retains a high caliber of staff.
- Builds a dynamic team environment that makes Otterbein's Mission visible through the actions of all Partners (employees) and services.
- Manages, leads, and facilitates the Quality Assurance process and quarterly meetings.
- Develops, monitors, and reports statistical information and quality indicators used to evaluate operations and to develop quality improvement plans
Requirements
- Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly, and/or emotionally upset.
- Must be able to help Partners and Elders through changes by communicating and building excitement and a positive environment for the change.
- A mission-driven passion for serving older adults
- A Change Agent. Must be able to help Partners and Elders through changes by communicating and building excitement and a positive environment for the change.
- Strong leadership skills
- Understand Federal, State and Local regulations and proactively respond to changes in compliance issues and deadlines.
- Excellent literacy, writing, documentations, communication, and interpersonal skills
Nice to have
- Master's degree is a plus
