- Albemarle is hiring for an E&I Project Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of E&I scope across capital projects from design through construction, commissioning, and handover
- Identify and resolve field issues, including constructability challenges and design gaps
- Develop construction work packages to support contractor execution
- Support development of P&IDs, control strategies, and system designs in coordination with engineering
- Ensure designs are practical, constructible, and aligned with standards and specification
- Specify and support procurement of instrumentation and electrical equipment
- A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.
Requirements
- Technical training, associate degree, or equivalent practical experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field
- 10-20 + years of experience in industrial plant environments with hands-on E&I responsibilities
- Experience supporting capital projects, maintenance projects, or construction activities
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, and control system documentation
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC)
- Proficiency with standard business and documentation tools (Excel, Word, SAP or equivalent
- Strong field leadership presence with ability to direct and coordinate contractor activities
- Practical problem solver with ability to make timely, field-driven decisions
