Responsibilities

  • Perform short circuit analysis on existing facilities and new projects
  • Attend client meetings for the purpose of defining the project scope during a proposal phase and review design development documents during project execution.
  • Assist local IE technicians to address design changes or plant additions
  • Developing the electrical plans and specifications for small to medium-sized and complex projects with minimal supervision.
  • Develop capital and expense budgets for small and large projects
  • Control system design & layout
  • Knowledge of how to use ETAP or equivalent software for models and studies (i.e. Power design, Short circuit analysis, Arc Flash studies)
  • Must possess knowledge of electrical design fundamentals.
  • As an Electrical Engineer at Tessenderlo Kerley, your primary focus will be the design of electrical systems for industrial chemical facilities.
  • Design duties you would be responsible for will include power distribution, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment layout, detailed installation design.

Requirements

  • Keeping design within the scope and ensuring all aspects of projects meet required codes while preventing scope creep
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 496, 497, 655, 70B, 70E, IECC.
  • Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited university
  • Engineering and design experience with power delivery systems for chemical and/or

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Siemens PCS-7, OPTO 22, and APACS systems a plus
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Navisworks (Freedom) is preferred but not required.
