Responsibilities

  • The 150-year history of the Vilter brand tells a rich story of perseverance and drive to cultivate continuous innovation within the industrial refrigeration and gas compression industries.
  • Approximately 300 employees work in Cudahy, who all support a multitude of business functions.
  • Our employee resource groups play an important role in culture and community building at Copeland.

Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Manufacturing (or equivalent work experience)
  • Masters Degree in Engineering or MBA
  • Certifications in ASQ (CQA, CQE, CSQP), Certified 6 Sigma Green Belt or Equivalent
  • Advanced statistics, problem solving, and process improvement techniques.
  • Understanding/knowledge of Lean principles (Kaizen, Std work, Kanban, VSM, Continuous Flow, 5S+1, Poke-yoke, waste elimination)
  • Written and verbal communication and leadership thru all levels of a global corporation. Preparing slides for communication to leadership.
  • Problem Solving, Corrective Action, Process Improvement Techniques, Quality Auditing; Quality Systems; ISO 9001 and/or IATF16949
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications including GD&T.
  • Computers and software as relates to business and quality needs.
  • Up to 30% travel to North American suppliers and Copeland operation locations.

  • If you are an Engineering / Quality professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based at our Cudahy, WI location as a Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer you will be supporting commodities directly related to Vilter brand compressors. You will support regional suppliers for Copeland brand compressors, driving metrics of cost, delivery and quality to support the business objectives and use skills such as problem solving, advance quality planning, design for manufacturing, identifying non-conformances. In this position, you have the responsibility to coordinate with procurement counterparts in strategic and tactical supply base decisions regionally and be part of a team in a center led supply chain organization.
