  • ROLE AT A GLANCE The Robot Field Operator is on the frontlines of our robotic industrial inspections.
  • This individual plays a key role in ensuring customer needs are met while performing inspections and operating in-field robotic products in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-field robotic inspections at the customer site in support of the Gecko Operations Lead and customer timeline.
  • Perform all procedures and work to Gecko and customer safety policies, including wearing proper PPE.
  • Maintain robotic equipment including repair, cleaning, and others while not in the field.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technical details of company service offerings and tools.
  • Support Robot/Field AUT Specialists, both in the field and in the shop.
  • Perform other activities as directed.
  • This position requires occasional travel for training or company and inspection support purposes.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
  • Ability to carry 50 pounds, for a distance up to 100 feet
  • Ability to climb stairs while carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to push and/or pull up to 50 pounds consistently, for periods up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and/or crawl repetitively
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Use hand drill, drill press, grinder and other assembly tools as required.
  • Maintain compliance with all customer required background check and drug screening requirements.
  • Must have hands-on experience working with electrical and mechanical devices/tools.

  • When not engaged in inspection work, the Robot Field Operator is responsible for maintenance and repair of electromechanical equipment including gears/motors, cameras, actuators, control boxes, cables, etc.
