About the role
- Store - KC-LIBERTY, MO Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests.
- Event Coordination Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
- Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they're looking for.
- Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises.
- Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
- Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
- Support shrink and safety programs Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.
Requirements
- Must have excellent people skills.
- Must have experience working with children and children's events.
- Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.
- Must have organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills.
