Responsibilities
- Leads the ongoing operational activities associated with portfolio management of highly complex or high-risk investment strategies.
- Develops bespoke investment strategies
- manages highly complex or high-risk model portfolios
- leads responses to corporate action events
- Uses significant autonomy in decision making on broad-ranging topics while ensuring operational readiness to support investment management activities for new and existing complex investment strategies, products, separate accounts, and investment types representing all levels of complexity.
- Independently develops responses to ad hoc or specialized qualitative and quantitative investment related data inquiries posed by internal teams, clients, consultants, prospects, and management.
- May represent department as a subject matter expert on cross-functional/enterprise-wide strategic initiatives of notable risk and leads disciplinary or cross-functional initiatives to increase processing efficiency and scale, reduce risk, deliver new capabilities, develop innovative solutions, and adhere to regulatory policies and mandates.
- Develops bespoke investment strategies; manages highly complex or high-risk model portfolios; leads responses to corporate action events; resolves pre-trade compliance issues, reviews strategy-level data, benchmarks, and performance composites; and guides less experienced professionals in the resolution of highly complex investment-related operational issues of notable risk.

Requirements
- 8+ years of total relevant work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences
- 6+ years of investment industry experience
- familiarity or interest in utilizing Python and SQL
- Intellectually curious and ability to apply critical thinking skills
- Ability to think strategically and creatively
- Ability to coach and influence peers without direct Supervisory oversight
- FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- Preferred:
- Relevant investment or operations experience, including exposure to Multi‑Asset strategies
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements
- advanced Excel skills
- Applies consultative approach when interacting with stakeholders and peers

- Strong communication skills including technical writing to concisely summarize and communicate between investment personnel and operational teams
Compensation
- $110,000.00 - $188,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
- $121,000.00 - $207,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
- $138,000.00 - $236,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
- Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.
