About the role
- The Assistant Coach works closely with club officers and student leaders to establish team goals while upholding all University and Club Sport rules, regulations, and sportsmanship standards.
- This position requires evening and weekend availability, including travel to off-campus matches and events.
- This position is paid with a yearly stipend of $3,000.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve participant sport skills, creating drills and running practices with emphasis on player development for both skaters and goalies
- Collaborate with club officers to establish and achieve team goals, support student leaders, and allow students to take on as much administrative responsibility as possible
Requirements
- Must be available for evening practices, home and away games, and off-campus travel
Nice to have
- Prior coaching experience at the varsity high school level or higher preferred
- Previous experience playing at a competitive level, including collegiate or professional, preferred
- Preferred knowledge of USA Hockey and ACHA rules and regulations
